Ashta siddhis and their Prominence
Ashta siddis There are 8 types of achivements for a saadhaka by which he can transform his personality. This is from markandeya purana. God for achieving ashtasiddis is Lord Dattatreya. Lord Dattatreya is also known as god for self sustainment. And also, example for the gods who achived it is Lord Hanuman and saptharshis. It is also said in the purana that ashta siddis are the offsprings of Lord Dattatreya and his wife anagha devi. The sloka which pertains ashtasiddis as below:- Sloka:- Anima mahimaachiva laghima garimaastharsha| Praapta: prakaamyameesatwam asithvam ashtabhutaya|| Anima Transforming body in to atomic size.
