Story: Purity in devotion makes us see the god

Once upon a time, there lived a Sri vaishnava brahmin, also an archaka named Vedavyas in the holy town of mangalagiri, Andhra pradesh. He got married and blessed with a child (Baby boy). As he is an ardent follower of Lord Narasimha, he named his son as Prahlada Varadan. When his son reached the age of 7 years, He completed thread marriage (yagnopaveetha dhaarana mahothsava) ritual to his son, made him know the importance of sandhya vandana and made him learn and adviced him to do sandya vandanam 3 times a day i.e. sunrise, noon and sunset. As his son, prahlada varadan is also very obedient, he learnt sandhya vandanam and continued it with out any mistake in the procedure as said by his father. Prahlada varadan, with great enthusiasm used to ask his father every day to teach a mantra which makes him see the god. Father used to skip every time as he thought his son is too small to experience the feeling of god. But on asking him many times, he made his son learn a mantra called 'GARUDA DANDAKA' written by Sri Vedanta desikan. With true devotion, the child prahlada varadan got the stothra by heart. He asked his father that after how many times of chanting it makes him see Garudalwar. His father said him to read the sthothra on terrace of his house for 41 days everyday 3 times after doing sandhya vandanam. The child agreed and started the deeksha very next day. Every day, after sadhyavandanams at dawn, noon and dusk, he used to go to terrace and recite the flawless stothra of garuda dandakam and he continued the same procedure every day with devotion and believed the garudalwar will surely come as said by his father. On the 41st day, his father was worried if the god doesn't appear, how should he console the child. On the last day also, the child after completing sandhyavandana at noon went to terrace,  and started reciting GARUDA DANDAKAM in a good flow. Out of excitement, a big eagle came and stood infront of the child. The child truely enjoyed the moment and started chanting the garuda dandakam again infront of the eagle. As his son is reciting continuously, father wanted to see what happened, came to the terrace and got awe struck when he saw his child chanting infornt of garudaalwar (eagle), immediately went down and brought prasadam pongali for garuda to eat. Garuda ate prasadam, blessed the child and went away. Child got verymuch satisfied and became a great devotee of Lord Narasimha.

"In the same way, even we may not know the meaning of the stothra, when we read the stothra with devotion, belief and purity in heart, god surely listens and blesses us because the almighty is omnipresent."
